Mandoki Soulmates Wings of Freedom Tour Paris

Mandoki Soulmates, a band consisting of established jazz and rock artists and led by founder Leslie Mandoki, amazes the world for 25 years with their set list of common songs, improvisations and songs of individual members.

The cast of the band varies, during this year’s “Wings of Freedom” tour with stops in London, Paris and Berlin, the audience got to enjoy stars like Ian Anderson (Jethro Tull), Chris Thompson (Manfred Mann’s Earth Band) and Klaus Doldinger as well as multi Grammy winners as Randy Brecker, Al di Meola and Cory Henry.
For this fantastic tour, LLeyendecker was in charge of audio, lighting and stage technology, as well as the recording and the logistics. For the final show in Berlin, the Berlin branch also provided rigging and video technology.
The huge lineup (24 musicians) issued the challenge of equally arranging all individuals in the mix. FOH-engineer Olli Tschotow, section manager and project manager audio at LLeyendecker, met this challenge by using technology such as microphony by Shure. April 3rd marked the kick off for the integration project „Between worlds“ that is presented in the Riedel Communications facilities in Wuppertal. The project was founded by Frechen located association music4everybody! e.V. The musical is a cooperation of refugee adolescents with German mentors of the same age. The project aims to help young refugees from 14 to 27 get settled in their new home and learn German more easily. The musical premiered end of January at the Rautenstrauch-Joest-Museum in Cologne. Thomas Riedel, founder and owner of Riedel Communications, spontaniously agreed to support the project and got LLeyendecker on board as well. We want to thank our apprentices Alexander Girnth, David Temme, Florian Springenberg, Jan Völmecke, Kevin Kroll, Lucas Grosche and Simon Dreher for their great work and are happy to be part of such a great project.
